Founders & Providers
In 2001, Dr. Gustav Lo opened Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in Petoskey. The success of this vision led to the Traverse City location in 2009 and Naples in 2022. Dr. Lo was the first to pioneer Smartlipo laser assisted liposuction in northern Michigan. He has trained with many top cosmetic surgeons in the field. In addition, Dr. Lo has also performed hundreds of nonsurgical facelifts with FaceTite, Laser Lift, ThermiTight, and Thread Lift.
During his 30 year career as a Primary Care Physician, Dr. Lo first applied regenerative medical techniques such as PRP injections to orthopedic cases in the early 2000’s; following those successes, he then brought similar techniques to our aesthetic practice.
Our results mirrored the research findings in other centers – regenerative techniques can reverse some degenerative conditions and “youthify” our tissues and physiology. With that, he founded RegenCen (a separate division of CSLC) in Traverse City and Petoskey, Michigan, and Boca Grande and Naples, Florida as a treatment center dedicated to helping patients extend their healthspans and live their fullest lives.
RegenCen merges the most proven regenerative treatments like PRF injections, NAD+, and the InMode Empower platform with bioidentical hormone and testosterone optimization for men and women, tackling some of the biggest impediments to living well over 50.
RegenCen also offers a prescription weight loss program, provides Ozempic or semaglutide for patients, and offers a results-proven treatment plan including the Skinny Shot and NAD+ therapy to help patients lose unwanted weight and keep it off.
Dr. Lo earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his MD from Michigan State University. He founded Northern Michigan MedCenter primary care and urgent care centers, operating them for 30 years with over 1 million total patient visits.
His professional time as a Physician now is practicing at RegenCen and overseeing Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center. He has performed over 4000 liposuction procedures in Petoskey and Traverse City and thousands of transformational Laser Lift treatments for his patients. He continues to see patients regularly, offering them regenerative therapies for erectile dysfunction, orthopedic conditions, arthritis and male testosterone replacement, was well as supervising our Physician Associates who specialize in women’s care.
As regenerative medicine continues to advance, Dr. Lo and his team are dedicated to the “youthification” of our clients, bringing exciting, scientifically proven treatments to patients in Traverse City, Petoskey, and Naples who want to look, feel, and live better at every stage of life.

In 2001, Courtney discovered a profession that combined both her medical background and artistic eye and founded Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center with Dr. Gustav Lo.
At CSLC and RegenCen, Courtney leads a passionate team of expert aesthetic and regenerative medical providers who help people look and feel their best throughout life. She is dedicated to finding and bringing the newest innovative aesthetic techniques, regenerative treatments, and procedures to clients in both Michigan and Florida.
After two decades performing thousands of cosmetic treatments on patients at every age and stage, today Courtney leads her team to maintain the highest standards of excellence.

CSLC was Northern Michigan’s first Platinum Level Botox and Juvederm Provider (and has been since 2004), and multiple times has been named the top Restylane and Perlane Injector and Sculptra practice in the state. Recently CSLC was named top Sculptra provider in the country and top 15 injectors in the U.S. by Galderma.
RegenCen, our medical division, was the first to provide state of the art MorpheusV in the state and is also proud to offer Biote hormonal pellets in Petoskey, Traverse City, and Naples. She’s committed to having modern, medically proven and safe treatments for women after menopause.
She adores working beside her husband and says they are the perfect team. Besides working, Courtney loves being a mom and cooking; her modern blended family is her greatest joy.
Courtney splits her time between Michigan and Florida.
Rita J. Altman received her Physician Associate degree from Emory University in 1986 after attending Michigan State University for her undergraduate work. Her first 20 years were spent in the surgical arena where she perfected a technical skill and eye for beautiful skin closure. She worked alongside some of the top surgeons in Atlanta & San Francisco and was given accolades from them all.
Since 2006, Rita has dedicated her practice to facial re-contouring via non-surgical injections. She has performed over 100,000 procedures with the goal of recapturing and retaining a youthful, natural appearance through artistic injection placement on clients ranging from 21 – 91 years old. Whether it is lip enhancement, cheek augmentation, diminishing wrinkles caused by over-animation, or the deflation and gravitational pulls that aging causes; she will develop a plan of action to meet your goals.
She has trained hundreds of practitioners in the art of injecting. The science is the easy part, but the art of looking natural both at rest and in animation results from the skill and experience of a seasoned provider.
Rita's work ethic is impeccable, her dedication unprecedented and her gentle touch make clients flock to her from near and far also attracting other practitioners to receive their treatments. In her free time Rita is a Yoga Instructor and has taught fitness for over 40 years. She enjoys skiing, hiking, pickleball, walking Jesse & traveling.
Hannah Lipsch, PA-C holds her Master’s degree from Florida State University College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Tallahassee, FL, and her Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, FL.
Prior to joining us as our CSLC & RegenCen Master Provider, and Master Injector, Hannah had a wealth of clinical experience in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry. She also worked as a Patient Care Technician in a Progressive Care Unit.
Hannah is passionate about providing a comfortable environment where patients can come to seek treatments that will make them feeling like the best versions of themselves. She is compassionate, trustworthy, and fully dedicated to helping patients gain confidence and function better through every stage of life.
Outside of the office, you'll find Hannah enjoying time with friends, family, and her two Golden Retrievers, trying out new coffee shops, or enjoying time at the beach.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from USF, Vanessa went on to obtain her nursing license & subsequently her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Tampa. She has been with us for over a decade providing exceptional patient service & compassionate patient care.
Vanessa has trained and supervised high performance nursing teams and has excellent communication and leadership skills. She has such passion for natural beauty and sees the inherent beauty in each and everyone. Vanessa has become a Master Injector in neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, & Daxxify) & fillers and loves injecting lips & cheeks. She doesn’t stop there because the health of the skin is just as important as the underlying structure. Laser, RF, PRP / PRF injections, & Microneedling treatments allow her to expand your treatment outcomes & help in your journey to flawless beauty. In her off time, Vanessa is an amazing artist - just ask to see some of her paintings and sculptures!
Jessica is a licensed and board certified Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years experience in the medical field. She is certified by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center as well as the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She strives for a wholistic approach to wellness offering natural enhancements to balance ones beauty internally and externally.
She is a member of the American academy of facial esthetics always staying up to date in current practice and offerings. Jessica is excited to offer her skills in esthetics at CSLC|Rita Medical Elite specializing in neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin & Daxxify), Fillers and skin rejuvenation. In her time off from, she loves being a mom to her 2 amazing boys and spending date night with her police officer hubby.
Administrative, Design & Front Office
Roni has been with CSLC│Rita Medical Elite for many years as our Office Administrator, Lead Client Coordinator, and Product Specialist. She's passionate about the aesthetic industry, dedicates her time to making the front office operate smoothly, and she provides personalized assistance to help each and every client with his or her aesthetic journey.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1982, Roni accepted a position at Federated Department Stores where she held many leadership positions with the company. Her experience working as an executive for Macy’s made her an expert in knowing what truly drives service. After 40 years in corporate retail, Roni’s dedication to customer service and attention to detail has lent itself to offering a top-notch experience when visiting CSLC│Rita Medical Elite.
Kathleen is our Lead Client Coordinator in our beautiful Sarasota, FL office.
She was born and raised in St. Pete, FL. She received a B.S. in Psychology with a Minor in Biology from Florida State University; interned with a veterinarian at a Seabird Sanctuary on Redington Shores beach one summer; also spent a summer interning with a marine biologist tracking and recording wild dolphin behavior.
Prior to joining us, Kathleen was Executive Assistant/ Onboarding Facilitator for McKinsey & Co, a business consulting firm.
Kathleen loves the rewarding experience when a client expresses that they feel and look confident and beautiful after their treatment.
Outside of the office, you'll find Kathleen running, playing volleyball, biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, kayaking, wakeboarding, swimming, volunteering, hiking, backpacking...basically doing anything involving helping others or being outside. 🙂

Jesse is a 5 year old Bichon, Cocker Spaniel, Shitzu, and Poodle mix who Rita rescued from Underdog Rescue. He comes to work everyday and can provide a calming element to clients who may be feeling nervous about their treatment. Jesse is in training, so when you arrive for your appointment, you will see some information at the front desk about how to greet him when entering the treatment room.
