How tattoo removal works at Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center
Tattoo removal before & after results
Tattoo removal is performed with The QX MAX’s Nd:YAG laser. It provides the ideal platform for initiating wavelength conversions to create a true multi-wavelength pigment removal solution. The QX MAX offers four treatment wavelengths in a single system:
1. Dark Pigments
- 1064 nm Nd:YAG to treat and remove dark pigments
2. Lighter Pigments
- 532 nm KTP for lighter pigments, vascular lesions and red, tan, purple and orange tattoo inks
3. Green Inks
- 650 nm dye for green tattoo inks
4. Blue Inks and Vascular
- 585 nm dye for sky blue inks and vascular lesions
It’s hard to say how many treatments you’ll need for complete removal, but 5 is the minimum number, while some large multicolor tattoos may require 15. Variables such as size, depth, color, and location are all factors. Treatments are spaced three to four weeks apart and consultations are complimentary.
