Lip & Dermal Fillers | Natural-Looking Results
The kind of refresh no one notices,
but everyone admires.
At CSLC, we believe the best aesthetic results are the ones that feel effortless — and still feel like you. Whether you’re here for subtle lip enhancement or full facial rejuvenation, our expert providers use dermal fillers to smooth, lift, and restore with precision. With over two decades of experience and training that goes far beyond injectables, your treatment plan is never just about a syringe — it’s about supporting your long-term confidence, naturally and thoughtfully.
Dermal fillers at a glance
What they are:
Injectable treatments that restore volume, smooth lines, and add structure. No surgery, no downtime.
What they treat:
Lips, cheeks, under-eye hollows, jawline, chin, and hands — each with a product tailored to that area.
How they work:
Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body. They add volume and structure where time or genetics have created loss.
The appointment:
30–60 minutes depending on areas treated. Assessment, injections, and you're done.
Results:
Immediate, with continued refinement over days to weeks. Longevity varies by area: lips 6–12 months, cheeks and jawline 12–18 months, under-eye up to 24 months.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are one of the most versatile, natural-looking ways to restore youthful structure and volume loss from aging or genetics. These injectable treatments are made primarily of hyaluronic acid — a substance naturally found in the body — that restore volume, smooth lines, and rebuild facial structure lost to aging or genetics.
We use premium fillers to:
- Smooth fine lines and creases
- Add lift and contour to the cheeks
- Restore facial balance at the jawline or chin
- Soften under-eye hollows
- Enhance lips with subtle definition or fullness
Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles, fillers physically add support and fullness exactly where it's needed. The results are immediate, natural-looking, and fully customizable to your anatomy and goals.
At CSLC, we use a carefully selected range of premium filler products, matching each one to the specific area being treated, to smooth, lift, and restore with precision.
Every treatment is customized, because every face is unique.
Botox softens dynamic lines caused by muscle movement (like frown lines or crow’s feet). Filler restores volume and structure in areas that have lost support over time. Many patients benefit from both as part of a comprehensive plan.

Lip filler
Tailored to your features.
Designed for natural movement.
Always in expert hands
At CSLC, lip filler is designed around the result you want — not a one-style-fits-all approach. Patients choose CSLC for lips when they want softness, shape, hydration, and balance, with results that still look like them. Some want smoother, more hydrated lips. Others want subtle fullness, better definition, improved symmetry, or restoration of volume that has naturally declined over time.
Our providers are trained in multiple lip-filler techniques, including vertical tenting and the Russian lip technique, but your treatment is never based on trends. It's based on you. Every treatment uses a precise, anatomy-based approach to determine the right filler, placement, and amount so lips look polished, natural, and in harmony with the face.
We’ll talk through your preferences, review your facial anatomy, and design a plan that supports beautiful, natural movement with minimal swelling and downtime.
If it’s your first time, you’ll never feel rushed or unsure. And if you’ve had filler elsewhere and want to improve your results, we’re here for that, too.
At CSLC, lip filler is never a one-technique treatment. Our providers are trained in multiple advanced methods and choose their approach based on your anatomy, lip structure, and what you want to achieve, not on trends or habit. Here's a look at the techniques we use most:
The Russian Lip Technique
The Russian lip method uses precise vertical injections to build height and definition at the center of the lips, with particular focus on enhancing the Cupid's bow. Rather than adding outward volume, it lifts the lip upward, creating a heart-shaped, structured look that appears refined rather than filled. It's an excellent choice for patients who want more shape and definition without projection, and for those who want to avoid the overdone look that can come from traditional volume-focused approaches. Because it requires a high level of precision and a thorough understanding of lip anatomy, it's a technique that demands an experienced injector, which is exactly what you'll find at CSLC.
Vertical Tenting
Vertical tenting uses a near-perpendicular injection angle along the white roll of the lip rather than the traditional linear approach, creating subtle upward projections that add fullness and natural contour from within. It offers excellent control over both shape and volume, making it particularly effective for patients with asymmetrical lips, those correcting previous filler results, or anyone who wants a fuller upper lip without the risk of border bulging or the flat "sausage" effect that can result from traditional horizontal injections. The result is a naturally fuller lip that retains its own shape and movement.
How We Choose
In practice, Russian lip and vertical tenting share similar principles: both prioritize lift and structure over bulk, and experienced injectors often blend elements of multiple techniques within a single treatment. What matters most isn't the name of the technique; it's the injector's ability to read your anatomy, understand your goals, and place product precisely. At CSLC, your provider will discuss the approach that makes the most sense for you during your consultation.
How do you make sure lip filler looks natural?
At CSLC locations across Michigan and Florida, our approach is always natural first. Our aesthetic providers use advanced techniques to enhance lip shape—not inflate it. Whether you want a subtle refresh or more defined volume, your treatment is customized to your features, movement, and long-term goals.
How long does lip filler last?
Lip filler typically lasts between 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used and your metabolism. We offer a variety of dermal fillers at all CSLC locations and will help you choose the option that matches your goals for softness, structure, or longevity.
Can you fix or dissolve previous lip filler?
Yes. If you’ve had filler done elsewhere and are unhappy with the result, we can safely dissolve it and create a plan for more natural, balanced results. We offer this service at all of our locations.
Will I be very swollen after lip filler?
Some swelling is completely normal and usually resolves within a few days. We’ll walk you through pre- and post-care steps to minimize downtime and make sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout your healing.
Is lip filler painful?
We use high-potency numbing cream and advanced techniques to make treatment as comfortable as possible. Most patients—even first-timers—are surprised by how quick and easy the experience is.
When should I schedule lip filler before an event?
We recommend scheduling your appointment at least two weeks before a big event to allow time for any swelling to resolve and for the filler to fully settle. First-timers may prefer closer to three weeks.

Cheek filler &
facial contouring
Cheeks are often the first area to show volume loss with age, and restoring that structure can lift and refresh the entire face without touching a single wrinkle.
At CSLC, cheek filler isn't about adding bulk; it's about rebuilding the natural scaffolding that supports your features. Our providers use products like Voluma, Restylane Lyft, and Contour, chosen based on your facial anatomy, skin quality, and goals, and always assess cheeks in relation to the chin, jawline, and midface as part of our global face approach.
The result is balance and harmony, not just volume.
The best cheek filler depends on your facial anatomy, how much volume restoration is needed, and whether the primary goal is lift, projection, or overall contour. Technique and placement matter just as much as product selection — which is why this decision is always made in consultation, never from a menu.
At CSLC, we most commonly use Voluma, Restylane Lyft, and Contour for cheek and midface work. Voluma is a Juvederm-family product with excellent lift capacity and a smooth, cohesive consistency that integrates naturally into the cheek. Restylane Lyft offers firm, structured support that works well for patients who need more defined midface restoration. Contour — a newer Restylane product — is particularly effective for creating natural-looking cheek projection and definition without adding excessive volume.
Cheeks are also rarely treated in isolation. Our master injectors assess the cheeks alongside the chin and jawline as part of a global face approach, using both cheek and chin filler together where appropriate to create balance and harmony, whether that's a softer, more feminine result or a sharper, more structured one. What looks right in the cheeks often depends on what's happening below them.
What filler is best for cheeks?
Cheek filler requires a product with enough lift and projection to restore midface structure without feeling heavy or unnatural. At CSLC, we most commonly use Voluma, Restylane Lyft, and Contour for cheek work — each chosen based on your facial anatomy, skin quality, and how much lift or volume is needed. Your provider will recommend the best option during your consultation.
How long does cheek filler last?
Cheek filler typically lasts 12–18 months, making it one of the longer-lasting filler treatments. The denser products used in this area, designed for structural lift rather than softness, tend to hold up well over time. Results vary based on your metabolism and lifestyle, and your provider will give you a realistic expectation at your consultation.
Can cheek filler be combined with Botox or other treatments
Yes, and it often produces the best results when it is. Cheek filler pairs naturally with Botox for a more comprehensive rejuvenation, and many patients combine it with Sculptra for longer-term collagen stimulation, or with treatments like Morpheus8 for skin quality improvement. At CSLC, we assess the full picture and build a plan that addresses both structure and surface.

Tear trough filler &
under-eye rejuvenation
The under-eye area is one of the most technically demanding zones on the face, and one where product selection and injector experience matter more than almost anywhere else. The skin here is the thinnest on the body, which means the wrong product, placed at the wrong depth, shows immediately. It's also why not every patient is a candidate for under-eye filler, and why a thorough assessment always comes first at CSLC.
For product, we most commonly use Restylane for tear trough work. Its consistency makes it well-suited for delicate areas where predictability and controlled placement are critical. Softer, lighter products from the Restylane family are chosen specifically because they integrate naturally into thin tissue without creating the fluid retention or puffiness that heavier products can cause under the eyes. In some patients, we also consider PRF, your body's own platelet-rich fibrin, as a natural alternative that stimulates gradual improvement rather than adding volume directly.
For technique, our providers use cannulas for under-eye filler rather than traditional sharp needles. Cannulas respect natural tissue boundaries and move around blood vessels rather than cutting through them, which significantly reduces bruising and swelling in an area already prone to both. Placement is precise and deliberately conservative: slight undercorrection during the initial session allows the filler to settle naturally before any additional treatment is considered, minimizing the risk of overfilling.
The goal is always a smooth, rested appearance, not a filled one. If under-eye filler isn't the right fit for your anatomy, we'll tell you that during your consultation and discuss alternatives that may serve you better.
The best candidates for tear trough filler are patients whose under-eye concerns are primarily caused by volume loss: a hollow or sunken appearance that creates shadow and a tired look regardless of how much sleep they've had. If that description fits you, filler may be an excellent option.
However, under-eye filler isn't right for everyone, and at CSLC we're straightforward about that. Patients whose dark circles are caused primarily by pigmentation rather than hollowing, or who have significant skin laxity or puffiness in the under-eye area, may not see the improvement they're hoping for, and in some cases filler can make those concerns more visible rather than less. In those situations, we'll discuss alternatives such as PRF, laser resurfacing, or a combination approach that addresses the actual underlying cause.
Age, skin thickness, bone structure, and the degree of volume loss all factor into whether filler is the right tool. This is why the assessment always comes first. Your provider will evaluate your anatomy honestly and tell you whether filler makes sense, how much would be appropriate, and what realistic results look like for your specific situation.
Will I bruise or swell with under-eye filler?
Some patients experience mild swelling or a small bruise, especially in the thin skin under the eyes. We use cannulas and advanced techniques to minimize downtime, and most people return to normal activities within a day or two.
Is under-eye filler permanent?
No, but it tends to last longer than filler in other areas—often 12 to 24 months. We’ll help you decide if it’s the right treatment during your consultation in any of our Michigan and Florida locations.
What type of filler is used under the eyes?
We use soft, flexible fillers specifically designed for delicate areas—typically products from the Restylane or even more commonly, PRF – your body’s own natural filler. Our approach is subtle and layered, ensuring smooth, natural results.
Does CSLC offer other treatments for tired eyes?
Yes. Depending on your needs, we may recommend a combination of under-eye filler with laser resurfacing, PRF injections, or skincare to improve pigmentation and texture. At all our clinics, we often combine therapies to get the best results.
What’s the recovery like after tear trough filler?
Most patients feel comfortable returning to work the next day. We provide aftercare tips and follow-up to make sure you’re happy with your results—and to adjust if needed.

Jawline & chin filler
A well-defined jawline and chin are central to facial balance, and filler has become one of the most effective non-surgical tools for achieving both.
Whether you're looking to sharpen definition, soften early jowling, or bring better proportion to your profile, jawline and chin filler can create meaningful change without downtime.
At CSLC, we use Defyne and Contour for jawline work — products specifically engineered for high-movement areas — and approach chin augmentation as part of our global face approach. Small changes here often have a meaningful effect on overall facial structure.
Jawline and chin filler requires products that can withstand constant movement, like chewing, talking, facial expressions, without breaking down prematurely or shifting out of place. Not every filler is built for that, which is why product selection here is particularly important.
For jawline work, we prefer Defyne and Contour. Both are from the Restylane family and specifically engineered for high-movement areas. They provide the definition and structure needed to sharpen the jawline while remaining flexible enough to move naturally with your face. For chin augmentation, Voluma, Lyft, and Contour are our most common choices, depending on how much projection or definition is needed.
Our global face approach means that chin and jawline are almost always assessed together rather than in isolation. A well-projected chin anchors the jawline and improves overall facial proportion — particularly in profile — so treating one without considering the other can produce a result that looks improved but not quite balanced. Our master injectors approach both areas as part of a cohesive plan, whether the goal is a sharper, more structured look or softer, more harmonious facial contours.
Can filler define my jawline or chin?
Yes. Jawline and chin filler can sharpen definition, reduce the appearance of jowling, and create better facial balance, all without surgery.
At CSLC, we use Defyne and Contour for jawline work, products specifically designed for high-movement areas that need to flex naturally. Chin filler is often performed alongside jawline treatment to ensure the result is proportional and harmonious rather than addressing one area in isolation.
How long does jawline and chin filler last?
Jawline and chin filler typically lasts 12–18 months. The firmer, more structured products used in this area tend to have good longevity, and many patients find they need less product over time as the initial results are maintained with touch-ups.
What's the difference between jawline filler and a surgical jawline procedure?
Jawline filler is a non-surgical option that adds definition and structure using injectable product. It's reversible, requires no downtime, and results are visible immediately, whereas surgical options like implants or liposuction create permanent structural changes and involve recovery time.
Filler is an excellent option for patients who want to explore the aesthetic improvement before committing to anything permanent, or who simply prefer a non-surgical approach. Your provider can help you determine which is appropriate for your goals.

Hand rejuvenation with filler
Hands are one of the first places to show age, and one of the most overlooked in aesthetic planning. As volume decreases over time, tendons and veins become more prominent, giving hands a bony, aged appearance that skincare alone can't address.
We offer two approaches depending on your goals: Restylane Lyft for immediate volume restoration, and Radiesse, a unique option that not only restores volume right away but stimulates your body's own collagen production over time for longer-lasting improvement. Your provider will recommend the best fit during your consultation. Either way, the treatment is quick, requires no downtime, and results typically last 9–12 months or more.
Can filler rejuvenate my hands?
Yes. Hand treatments restore the soft tissue volume that diminishes with age, reducing the appearance of prominent tendons and veins.
At CSLC, we offer two options: Restylane Lyft, a hyaluronic acid filler that adds immediate volume, and Radiesse, which provides immediate correction while also stimulating collagen production for results that improve over time. Your provider will discuss which is better suited to your anatomy and goals.
How long does hand rejuvenation last?
Longevity depends on the product used. Restylane Lyft typically lasts 9–12 months in the hands. Radiesse may last longer due to its collagen-stimulating properties, with many patients seeing sustained improvement well beyond the initial correction. Your provider will give you realistic expectations at your consultation.
What does hand filler treatment feel like?
The hands are numbed prior to treatment to ensure comfort. Most patients find the experience straightforward and tolerable. Some mild swelling or bruising is possible but typically resolves within a few days, and most patients return to normal activities immediately.

Which dermal filler is right for you?
The honest answer is: it depends — on the area being treated, your anatomy, and your goals. There's no single best filler, which is why we carry the full range of both the Juvederm and Restylane families rather than defaulting to one product for everyone. What matters most is matching the right product to the right place, with the right technique. The accordions here break down the key differences between the two main filler families to help you understand what your provider may recommend and why.
For patients focused on long-term collagen restoration rather than immediate volume, Sculptra may be a better fit. Learn more on our Sculptra page.
Both Juvederm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid-based filler families, meaning they work the same way at a fundamental level, but they have distinct formulations that make each better suited to certain areas and goals.
Juvederm products tend to have a smoother, more cohesive gel consistency, which works beautifully for lips and areas where natural movement and softness are priorities. Within the Juvederm family, products like Voluma provide lift and projection for cheeks, while Volbella and Kysse are popular for lips.
Restylane products have a slightly firmer, more particulate structure, which gives them excellent precision and predictability, particularly in delicate areas like the under eyes, where too much spread can cause problems. Restylane Lyft is our preferred product for hand rejuvenation, and Defyne and Contour (also Restylane family) are our go-to choices for jawline work due to their flexibility in high-movement areas.
At CSLC, filler isn't about brand loyalty. It's about your anatomy and goals, and the filler that will help you get the most natural results. We carry the full range of both families so your provider can choose based on what's right for your face, not what's in stock.
Filler longevity varies significantly depending on the product used, the area treated, and individual factors like metabolism and activity level. As a general guide:
- Lip filler typically lasts 6–12 months. Lips are a high-movement area and tend to metabolize filler more quickly than other parts of the face.
- Cheek and midface filler generally lasts 12–18 months. The denser, more structured products used in this area hold up well over time.
- Jawline and chin filler typically lasts 12–18 months, though results can vary based on how much movement the area experiences and the product used.
- Tear trough and under-eye filler often lasts 12–24 months, one of the longer-lasting areas, partly because it's lower movement and partly because the soft products used here integrate gradually into the tissue.
- Hand filler typically lasts 9–12 months, with Radiesse potentially lasting longer due to its collagen-stimulating properties.
- Sculptra works differently from traditional fillers, rather than adding immediate volume, it stimulates your body's own collagen production over a series of treatments, with results that can last up to two years or more.
One thing many patients notice over time is that consistent filler treatments can reduce how much product is needed at future appointments, as the area retains some structure and collagen builds naturally around the treated zone. It's one of the reasons a long-term approach tends to deliver better, and more cost-effective, results than sporadic one-off treatments.
Yes. Most fillers used at CSLC are made of hyaluronic acid, which can be safely dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. This is available at all CSLC locations across Michigan and Florida.
What to expect at your filler appointment at CSLC
Your first appointment at CSLC begins with a personalized aesthetic consultation, not a sales pitch. Whether you’re curious about lip filler, cheek contouring, or full facial rejuvenation, we start by understanding what you want to achieve, and build a treatment plan around your natural features and comfort level.
Some patients choose to treat just one area. Others prefer a more gradual, phased approach. Either way, you’ll leave with a clear plan and no pressure.
- A full facial assessment with honest, expert recommendations
- A discussion of options, including dermal fillers, Sculptra, PRF, or skin treatments
- Minimal to no downtime
- Immediate improvements that continue to refine over days to weeks
- Personalized follow-up and long-term support
The good news: filler aftercare is straightforward, and most patients feel comfortable returning to their normal routine the same day.
- Immediately after your appointment:
Makeup can be applied right away. You may experience mild swelling or tenderness at the injection sites. This is completely normal. For any discomfort, Tylenol is recommended over ibuprofen or aspirin, which can increase bruising risk. - Managing swelling (especially lips and under eyes):
If you're prone to swelling or had treatment in a sensitive area, icing the area for about 20 minutes every hour during the first 24 hours can help. Most swelling resolves significantly within 48 hours. Avoiding aggressive exercise during the first 24 hours will also help keep swelling minimal. - About bruising:
Bruising is rare with neuromodulators and somewhat more common with dermal fillers, but modern techniques using smaller needles and cannulas have significantly reduced this compared to older methods. Holding gentle pressure on injection sites during your appointment also helps. If you do experience a bruise, it typically resolves on its own within a week or so. - If you want to take extra precautions:
In the few days leading up to your appointment, consider pausing herbal supplements, vitamins, anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen), and fish oil, as these can increase bruising risk. Starting arnica a few days before your appointment can also help reduce bruising and swelling. - One more thing worth knowing:
Many patients find that with consistent filler treatments, their own collagen begins forming in the treated areas over time, which can improve the longevity of results and reduce how much product is needed at future appointments. It's one of the reasons a long-term approach to filler tends to deliver better outcomes than one-off treatments.
What our patients say about dermal filler at CSLC
“I’ve happily been a client of CSLC since they opened their doors in Winter Park. The specialists there have used Sculptra, Dysport, and fillers on my face.”

“I went through the hardest few years of my life. My Mom had a stroke and it upended my life. She subsequently passed away. I was left in grief and had lost my spark. I had heard a dermatologist say that sometimes to tackle grief, you have to heal from the outside in.
I started to go and get facials at the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in Traverse City with Jensen. Then, I got Botox and lip filler with Mikailah. These ladies brought me back to life. They will forever be my queens. From the minute you walk in, you feel like you belong. The staff at every interaction are kind, knowledgeable, helpful and want you to look and feel your best. It’s a full face, undetectable philosophy. They help you meet your goals and are respectful about your budget. I will forever be grateful for their kindness, the laughs we’ve shared and their commitment to the very best of everything. Run, don’t walk, to the Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center.”
