Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Treatment
At RegenCen, the regenerative medical division of Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center, the cornerstone of our ED treatment is platelet-rich fibrin injections (the updated P-Shot®)
The E² Shot (2nd generation P-Shot or Priapus Shot) helps erections for men of all ages.
A fast, pain-free, in-office procedure, the E² Shot gives:
What is a P-Shot?
The P-Shot is an in office treatment that involves drawing your blood, spinning it in a centrifuge and injection your platelet-rich plasma into the penis. The growth factors from the platelet-rich plasma improve blood flow, new blood vessel growth and cellular regeneration. The P-Shot was the first generation platelet therapy for erectile dysfunction.
E² Shot (PRF injection) vs P-Shot (PRP injection)
PRF doesn't have an anticoagulant so it stays in the tissue longer when it is injection. Since it is more slowly absorbed, the body is able to take advantage of the growth factors for longer. PRF triggers more blood flow, which essentially gets better results than PRP. Dr. Gustav Lo was originally certified in PShot but quickly advanced to PRF injections at RegenCen.
“I noticed a difference at 40 but I didn’t want to take ED drugs if I didn’t have to. This will be my go-to treatment. Thank you!”

How the E² Shot (PRF for Erectile Enhancement) Works
After a quick in-office blood draw to extract some of your own natural PRF (platelet-rich fibrin), we topically and locally numb the penis. Then your platelets are injected to stimulate cell growth and blood tissue response.
Most men notice more effortless, longer-lasting erections. Sex can resume immediately and you should expect more satisfying orgasms. Some results are immediate and some improve over the course of 3-4 weeks.
REPEAT 1-2 TIMES A YEAR
Results are long-lasting. For ongoing results, many men repeat PRF treatments for every 6-12 months.
For improved size, men opt for 3 treatments one month apart.
“I have known Dr. Lo for many years and always appreciate his personal and thoughtful approach to understanding my medical issues and systematic solutions. Today was no exception.”
PRF E² Shot Frequently Asked Questions
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) comes from your own blood, which we draw from you in-office. PRF has been used for years in the medical field to help accelerate healing and to treat orthopedic conditions like arthritic knees and tendonitis. PRF is composed of white blood cells, fibrin and a small number of stem cells found circulating in our bloodstream, and helps tissue regenerate.
When we inject PRF into your penis, the platelets immediately go to work stimulating regrowth of blood vessels, smooth muscle cells and healthy new tissue, which, in turn, improves sexual response with bigger, more rigid erections. Most men report improvement in both length and girth within a few weeks.
PRF works both immediately and over time. Most patients report improved sensation and responsiveness within days of their injection, with the best overall results around 6 weeks post procedure.
No. It’s safe to resume sex immediately, and it will not adversely affect your sexual responsiveness.
PRF is 100% natural because it’s from your own blood, reducing or eliminating any risk of reaction. Although any injection procedure has minor risks, complications are rare.
After we draw your blood, we prepare it in a centrifuge. During that time, Dr. Lo numbs your penis, ensuring you won’t feel any pain or discomfort from the injection procedure. The entire time in the office is about 45 minutes.
Though every patient is different, many men repeat PRF treatments every 6-12 months for ongoing, improved sexual performance and satisfaction.
Yes! PRF is an erection boost that can be used with any medical treatments or as a stand alone erectile enhancement.
We were trained on the P-Shot in 2017. The P-Shot is the same procedure utilizing platelet rich plasma. Due to a number of advantages, we have switched to using PRF for all our regenerative treatments.
Erectile “function” is very personal, and it starts declining steadily from the 20s onward. To one guy, it’s how often he can have sex, and to another, it’s how easily he can get an erection, and for another it’s how long he can maintain it – these are all typical measures of function a man may have for himself, yet aren’t captured in the narrow definition of ED: the inability to get an erection adequate to complete intercourse.
Many men don’t want to always depend on a pill that bestows them with “intercourse ability” beginning 45 minutes (but ending 4 hours) after dosing. There are also plenty of men who don’t need a pill to have sex, but are dissatisfied with their erection function nonetheless. They want an erection that works “like it used to be.” The priapus shot (P-Shot) was the first good alternative to Viagra for better erections and the E² Shot with PRF is an even better treatment for ED.
