Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you live and what do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I live in Clarkston, Michigan, where I’ve spent most of my life. My husband is a pilot for Southwest Airlines, so I’m often holding down the fort at home with our three children, two dogs, and two parakeets while he’s traveling. Outside of work, most of my free time revolves around my family. Two of my children are competitive gymnasts, so you’ll usually find me at practices, competitions, or cheering them on from the sidelines.
What inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?
I originally chose nursing because I thought I might pursue a career as a CRNA and work in a plastic surgery setting one day. After nursing school, I worked in the ICU before transitioning into labor and delivery, postpartum care, and eventually nursing leadership. Around that time, I became a patient of Tracy’s at Rejuv Ave, before it became CSLC. As we got to know each other, I became fascinated by aesthetic medicine and the impact it could have on someone’s confidence. When an injector position became available, I jumped at the opportunity. That was nearly ten years ago, and I’ve never looked back.
Have you personally tried any of the treatments you offer? If so, which have been your favorites?
I’ve tried almost everything we offer. One of my favorite treatments is microneedling with PRF because it’s incredibly effective with very little downtime. I also love combining treatments, whether that’s injectables with skin rejuvenation or collagen-stimulating procedures paired with regenerative therapies. Of course, like many providers, I also appreciate what a good neuromodulator can do.
What’s your philosophy when it comes to aesthetic treatments?
I take a very holistic approach. My favorite patients are those who are open to treating all aspects of aging, not just wrinkles or volume loss. We talk about skin quality, skincare, collagen stimulation, regenerative treatments, and what they’re doing at home. Aesthetic medicine isn’t just about filling and freezing. It’s about creating healthier skin and supporting the aging process from multiple angles.
How do you approach creating natural-looking results?
Every patient is different. Some patients need volume restoration, while others need skin rejuvenation or collagen stimulation. Education plays a huge role in helping patients understand which treatments will help them achieve their goals. My goal is always to create results that look balanced, refreshed, and completely natural.
How do you incorporate regenerative aesthetics into your treatment plans?
From the very first consultation, we’re discussing collagen stimulation, skin quality, PRF, biostimulators, lasers, and long-term maintenance. Whether someone is in their twenties looking to prevent aging or later in life addressing volume loss and skin laxity, regenerative treatments play an important role in almost every treatment plan.
What are some of the most common concerns patients come to you with?
Volume loss, skin laxity, under-eye concerns, and neck aging are some of the most common issues. For younger patients, it’s often about prevention. For patients in perimenopause and menopause, we see more concerns related to collagen loss, skin texture, and overall facial aging.
What’s your favorite combination treatment for natural-looking results?
I love combining a neuromodulator, subtle hyaluronic acid filler, and Sculptra. Patients appreciate the immediate improvement they see from filler while also benefiting from the long-term collagen stimulation that biostimulators provide.
What’s one of your favorite patient success stories?
One patient who stands out was a private pilot I treated early in my career. She initially lacked confidence and was very self-conscious about her appearance. Over the course of a few years, we worked together on a thoughtful treatment plan. Watching her confidence grow was incredible. She eventually found her partner, got married, and completely came out of her shell. I’ll never forget seeing those before-and-after photos and realizing how much her confidence had transformed.
Many patients worry about looking overdone. What do you tell them?
I remind patients that the overfilled look is a trend that has largely passed. At CSLC, natural results have always been our goal. I’m also very comfortable saying no if I don’t believe a treatment is appropriate. If someone doesn’t need more filler, I’ll tell them. Patients appreciate that honesty, and it’s one of the reasons they’re able to trust us.
What do you think patients often misunderstand about aesthetics?
Many patients think Botox and filler are the same thing, or they expect nonsurgical treatments to create surgical results. Botox won’t lift your entire face, and filler isn’t a replacement for surgery. The best outcomes come from understanding what each treatment can realistically accomplish and building a plan around those goals.
Is there a treatment or technology that has surprised you with its results?
BBL treatments continue to impress me because of how much they can improve skin clarity and pigmentation. Halo can also create remarkable transformations for the right patient. That said, I think the most impressive results come from consistency over time rather than any single treatment.
What’s one piece of advice you give every new patient?
Invest in your skin at home. Medical-grade skincare makes a tremendous difference. The products you use every day have a major impact on the results you achieve in the office.
How have you seen aesthetics evolve over the last 10 years?
When I started, aesthetics was heavily focused on filler and volume replacement. Over time, the industry has shifted toward regenerative treatments and collagen stimulation. I’ve also seen an incredible increase in education sharing among providers, especially since COVID, which has elevated the industry as a whole.
What do you think the future of aesthetics looks like?
I think regenerative medicine and biostimulators will continue to lead the way. We’ll see more treatments focused on helping the body restore and regenerate itself naturally, rather than simply replacing volume or masking aging.
What does confidence mean to you?
Feeling good in your own skin.
What’s your dream destination for rest and recharge?
Tahiti. An overwater bungalow somewhere tropical sounds perfect.
What’s your favorite coffee order?
A grande white chocolate latte, half-caf.
What’s a skincare product you’re loving right now?
Plated Intense is one of my favorites. I’ve also recently started using Alastin Nectar and have been really impressed with how it makes my skin look and feel.
