We sat down with Bryanna Lambert, LA, MA, Medical Aesthetician at Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in Petoskey and Harbor Springs, to talk about her passion for skin health, why she believes aesthetics should never be one-size-fits-all, and the regenerative approach that continues to shape the future of the industry. From exploring Northern Michigan’s waterways to helping patients feel confident in their own skin, Bryanna approaches aesthetics through a lens of long-term wellness, personalized care, and healthy aging.
Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you live, and what do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I live in Boyne City and have called it home for the past 6 years. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cats, exploring different parts of Michigan, and being on the water whenever I can. Northern Michigan is such a beautiful place, and I love taking advantage of everything it has to offer.
What inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?
I’ve always had a passion for health, although that passion has looked different throughout various stages of my life.
As I got older, my interest naturally evolved into skin health. What started as an interest in skincare products grew into a fascination with aesthetics and medical aesthetics. I became interested in the connection between overall wellness, lifestyle, and skin health, and I loved the idea of helping people care for themselves in a way that goes beyond diet and exercise alone.
Have you personally tried any of the treatments you offer? If so, which ones have been your favorites?
I’ve tried many of the treatments we offer, but if I had to choose favorites, it would be Hydrafacial, microneedling, and Dysport.
That combination has been truly transformative for my skin, and they’re treatments I consistently see making a meaningful difference for patients as well.
What’s your philosophy when it comes to aesthetic treatments?
My philosophy has evolved over the years, and today I would summarize it in three words: less is more.
We don’t need to do every treatment we see advertised or follow every trend. The most successful outcomes happen when we identify the combination of treatments that works best for each individual patient. Thoughtful, customized care almost always produces better results than doing more simply for the sake of doing more.
What types of treatments do you specialize in or love performing the most?
I love performing skin rejuvenation treatments because you get to watch the transformation happen right before your eyes.
Microneedling, IPL, and facials are some of my favorite treatments because they help improve overall skin health while delivering visible results that continue to improve over time.
What’s your favorite combination treatment or treatment plan to create noticeable yet natural transformations?
I love regenerative treatment plans.
For me, that often means stimulating collagen production through PRF, whether that’s for aesthetic concerns or even joint health, and then pairing that internal regenerative approach with treatments that improve the surface of the skin.
Combining regenerative therapies with treatments like microneedling, facials, and Dysport allows us to address concerns from multiple angles while still creating natural-looking results.
What’s your favorite patient success story?
One patient experience that has always stayed with me actually wasn’t tied to a specific aesthetic outcome.
During a facial appointment, I noticed an abnormal-looking spot on a patient’s chest. We talked about it, and I encouraged him to have it evaluated by a dermatologist.
It ultimately turned out to be skin cancer.
That experience reinforced how important skin health truly is. While we often focus on helping patients look and feel their best, we also play an important role in helping patients become more aware of changes in their skin that may require medical attention.
Celebrities and overdone cosmetic work often make client nervous about treatments. What do you say to assure them that results can still look natural?
I think people are often surprised to learn that there is tremendous diversity within aesthetics.
Some people seek dramatic changes, while others want subtle, preventative, or regenerative treatments. Those approaches are very different from one another.
Natural-looking results are absolutely achievable when treatments are approached thoughtfully and when patients work with providers who understand their goals. Aesthetics doesn’t have to mean looking overdone. In fact, many of the best results are the ones no one can identify.
What do you think patients often misunderstand about Botox, fillers, skin rejuvenation, or aesthetics?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that taking care of your appearance somehow makes you vain.
I don’t see it that way at all.
The skin is the largest organ in the body, and caring for it is no different than exercising, eating well, or prioritizing your overall health. Looking and feeling your best is personal, and it looks different for everyone.
Is there a treatment or technology that has surprised you most with it’s results?
IPL continues to surprise me.
It’s one of those treatments that can deliver visible improvements relatively quickly, and it often addresses concerns that patients didn’t even realize were there. Whether it’s pigmentation, redness, or overall skin quality, IPL consistently produces gratifying results with very little downtime.
What’s one piece of advice you give every new patient during a consultation?
This is your personal journey.
You don’t need to compare yourself to what anyone else is doing. Your goals, concerns, timeline, and priorities are completely unique to you.
I often remind patients that aesthetics is a marathon, not a race. The fact that you’ve taken the first step toward investing in yourself is already something worth celebrating.
How is CSLC different than other med spas?
The training, support, and collaboration are unlike anything I’ve experienced before.
At CSLC, you’re constantly learning and growing. There is a genuine commitment to education, and everyone wants to see each other succeed.
What makes it especially unique is that there are so many opportunities to learn from talented providers and team members across different specialties. It’s a highly collaborative environment where people truly support one another.
How have you seen the field of aesthetics evolve over the last 5 years?
The biggest shift has been the movement toward regenerative medicine.
Aesthetics used to feel much more one-size-fits-all from the outside looking in. Today, the focus is increasingly on personalized care, long-term skin health, internal wellness, and regenerative treatments that support the body’s natural processes.
I think patients are looking for more than quick fixes now. They’re looking for sustainable, healthy ways to age well.
What does confidence mean to you?
Confidence means feeling your best while understanding that your best may look completely different from someone else’s.
It’s about embracing your own journey rather than comparing yourself to others and feeling comfortable in who you are.
What’s a beauty or skincare myth you love busting?
One of the biggest myths I see is that results only come from aggressive treatments or strong products.
In reality, many patients benefit more from focusing on hydration, barrier repair, soothing ingredients, and skin regeneration before moving into more aggressive treatments. Sometimes doing less and supporting the skin properly creates better results than trying to do everything at once.
What’s a skincare product you can’t live without?
Retinol and hyaluronic acid.
I love using them together because they complement each other so well. Retinol helps stimulate collagen production and support healthy skin renewal, while hyaluronic acid provides much-needed hydration, especially during Northern Michigan winters.
For me, that combination is an everyday staple and one of the simplest ways to maintain healthy, resilient skin.
