Get to know your provider Teresa
We sat down with Teresa Vettese, NP-C to talk about her work as an aesthetic and regenerative medicine provider serving Bloomfield Hills, the treatment philosophy that guides every patient consultation, and why she believes the future of aesthetics is rooted in regenerative medicine, prevention, and helping patients feel like the best version of themselves.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you enjoy outside of work?
I live in the Royal Oak area, so Bloomfield Hills is my closest clinic.
Outside of work, I enjoy anything related to wellness, longevity, and healthy living. Fitness, nutrition, peptides, and holistic health are all personal interests of mine.
I also love traveling, spending time on the water whenever I can, and continuing to learn about ways to improve long-term health and overall well-being.
What inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?
I love that aesthetic medicine combines science, medicine, and artistry.
Early in my nursing career, I worked primarily in critical care, which gave me a strong clinical foundation.
Over time, I realized how rewarding it is to help people feel more confident and empowered. Seeing patients leave feeling happier, healthier, and more like themselves is what continues to inspire me every day.
Can you tell us about your background before joining Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center?
Before joining Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center, I spent years specializing in laser hair removal, both treating patients and managing clinical teams across the country. That experience gave me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients and skin types while developing a deep understanding of laser technology, treatment planning, and patient care.
My background also includes critical care nursing, which continues to influence my thoughtful, safety-first approach to aesthetic medicine.
Have you personally tried the treatments you offer? Which ones are your favorites?
Absolutely. I believe it’s important to personally experience the treatments I recommend.
My favorites are neuromodulators because they deliver beautiful, natural-looking results while also helping prevent future wrinkles.
I also love microneedling because it stimulates your body’s own collagen with very little downtime and supports healthier, stronger skin over time.
What’s your philosophy when it comes to aesthetic treatments?
My philosophy is simple: natural, balanced, and preventative. I want patients to look refreshed, healthy, and confident, never overdone.
Education is a huge part of every consultation. Sometimes that means explaining why treating one area isn’t the best solution or why supporting facial structure first will create a better long-term outcome.
My goal is always to recommend what will produce the most natural, balanced result for each individual.
What treatments do you enjoy performing the most?
I especially enjoy neuromodulators because they can soften lines, subtly lift certain areas, and help patients maintain a refreshed appearance.
I also love cheek filler because even a small amount, when placed thoughtfully, can restore youthful support and create a dramatic yet natural improvement.
How do you incorporate regenerative treatments into your aesthetic plans?
Every treatment plan includes some form of regenerative medicine or collagen stimulation. Healthy skin is the foundation of great aesthetic results.
Treatments like microneedling, PRF, biostimulators, and other collagen-stimulating therapies help improve skin quality, while fillers and neuromodulators replace structural support or soften movement where needed.
The best outcomes come from combining both regenerative and aesthetic treatments together.
What’s your favorite combination treatment for natural-looking results?
I love combining microneedling or laser treatments with neuromodulators or filler.
Improving skin quality while restoring subtle support creates beautiful, noticeable improvements that still look completely natural.
What’s one patient success story that has stayed with you?
Some of my favorite moments are with patients who come in feeling nervous because they’re afraid of looking overdone. We start slowly, build trust, and create subtle improvements over time.
Watching those patients realize they can still look completely like themselves, just more refreshed and confident, is incredibly rewarding. Helping someone overcome those fears and see how natural aesthetic medicine can be is one of the best parts of my job.
Many patients worry about looking overdone. What do you tell them?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that filler or Botox automatically creates an unnatural appearance.
In reality, the overdone results people sometimes see are the result of poor treatment planning or overtreatment, not the treatments themselves. My patients are a reflection of my work, so my priority is always creating results that look natural and never exaggerated.
What do patients often misunderstand about aesthetics?
Many people think Botox and filler are the same thing or assume they’ll automatically end up looking unnatural. They don’t realize that a syringe of filler is actually a very small amount and that conservative treatment plans are designed to enhance your features, not change them.
Education is a huge part of helping patients feel comfortable and confident moving forward.
What’s one piece of advice you give every new patient?
This is a journey, not a destination.
We build long-term relationships with our patients, and every treatment plan is personalized. There’s never any pressure to do everything at once.
We move at whatever pace feels comfortable while creating a thoughtful plan that supports beautiful results over time.
What makes Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center different?
I think what truly sets Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center apart is how seamlessly we combine regenerative medicine with aesthetic treatments.
Rather than simply providing the treatment a patient asks for, we educate them, evaluate their anatomy, discuss their goals, and recommend the approach that will create the best long-term outcome.
That personalized, physician-guided philosophy makes all the difference.
What excites you most about the future of regenerative aesthetics?
I’m excited to see continued advances in regenerative medicine and collagen stimulation.
The more we can help the body naturally rebuild collagen, improve skin thickness, and strengthen skin quality, the better our long-term results will become.
Where do you see aesthetic medicine heading over the next 10 years?
I think aesthetics will continue moving toward regenerative treatments and personalized care.
Trends will always come and go, but I believe the future is focused on helping patients age naturally by supporting their body’s own healing and collagen production rather than relying on more product.
What does confidence mean to you?
Confidence is feeling comfortable in your own skin and feeling like the best version of yourself. It isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling refreshed, empowered, and authentically like you.
What’s one skincare product you can’t live without?
I never skip sunscreen. It’s one of the most important things you can do to protect your skin and preserve the results of your treatments.
What’s your favorite coffee order?
Most days I’m perfectly happy with black coffee.
If I’m treating myself, though, it’s an iced caramel macchiato from Starbucks with half the vanilla syrup and extra caramel drizzle.
What’s your dream destination for rest and recharge?
Italy has always been at the top of my list, and I’m excited that my honeymoon will take us to the Amalfi Coast and Sicily.
I can’t wait to experience the food, the scenery, and everything that makes Italy so special.
