We sat down with Elizabeth Lozen, PA-C, Aesthetic & Regenerative PCP at Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center and RegenCen in Traverse City and Suttons Bay, to learn more about her approach to natural-looking results, her passion for regenerative medicine, and why she believes confidence comes from both looking and feeling your best. Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors in northern Michigan, whether she’s paddleboarding, camping, playing pickleball, spending time on the lake, or relaxing with her husband. In our conversation, she shares her thoughts on aging gracefully, the power of PRF and regenerative treatments, her favorite procedures, and what excites her most about the future of aesthetics and longevity medicine.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you live, and what do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I live in Traverse City and have been in northern Michigan for about five years. Outside of work, I love being outdoors. You’ll usually find me playing pickleball, paddleboarding, camping, spending time on the lake, playing volleyball, or enjoying time with my husband.

What inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?
I’ve always been interested in dermatology, skincare, and cosmetics. I found that whole world fascinating and was naturally drawn toward aesthetics because it combines science, medicine, and helping people feel more confident in themselves.

What was your background before joining CSLC and RegenCen?
I attended Grand Valley State University for physician assistant school and spent a year working in family medicine before joining CSLC and RegenCen. That medical background continues to influence the way I approach patient care today.

Have you personally tried any of the treatments you offer?
Absolutely.

Dysport® and other neuromodulators are definitely some of my personal favorites.

What is your philosophy when it comes to aesthetic treatments?
I believe in natural results and enhancing someone’s existing beauty rather than changing it. There is no one-size-fits-all approach in aesthetics because every face is different. I also believe in aging gracefully. There’s nothing wrong with a mature face. The goal isn’t to stop aging. It’s to help people feel confident throughout the process.

How do you approach creating results that look natural and balanced?
It starts with a thorough consultation and understanding a patient’s goals. Setting realistic expectations is incredibly important.

I also rely heavily on anatomy, medical knowledge, and honest conversations. Sometimes part of my job is helping patients understand what will work best for their unique features and what may not be realistic for their anatomy.

What treatments do you most enjoy performing?
I love PRF because it harnesses the body’s own regenerative abilities. I think many people underestimate its value.

I also enjoy neuromodulators because they can create meaningful improvements while still looking incredibly natural when used thoughtfully.

What are some of the most common concerns patients come to you with?
One of the biggest concerns I hear is not wanting to look fake, unnatural, or overdone. Most patients want subtle improvements that still allow them to look like themselves.

What is your favorite combination treatment for natural-looking rejuvenation?
Neuromodulators combined with PRF, biostimulatory treatments, and, when appropriate, filler can be an incredibly powerful combination.

Together, they help support collagen production, restore balance, and create natural-looking rejuvenation.

What’s one patient success story that stands out to you?
One patient had natural asymmetry in her brows and upper face that bothered her every time she looked in the mirror. While it may have seemed like a small concern to others, it had a significant impact on her confidence.

Being able to address that concern and seeing how much more comfortable she felt afterward was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me that sometimes the smallest changes can have the biggest impact.

What do patients often misunderstand about aesthetics?
If aesthetics isn’t a world you’re familiar with, it can feel overwhelming. Many people don’t realize how much collagen loss happens over time and how treatments can help support healthy aging. It’s not necessarily about looking younger. It’s about aging gracefully, maintaining confidence, and supporting your skin’s long-term health.

Is there a treatment that surprised you with its results?
Microneedling.

Before working at CSLC, I didn’t fully appreciate how effective it could be. It does so much for skin texture, radiance, and fine lines with very little downtime. It’s comfortable, versatile, and consistently delivers beautiful results.

What’s one piece of advice you give every new patient?
There are no silly questions.

I always encourage patients to tell me what they see when they look in the mirror and what concerns them most. Sometimes what bothers a patient isn’t what I immediately notice, and that’s okay. Understanding their goals helps us build a treatment plan that’s meaningful to them.

What excites you most about the future of regenerative aesthetics?
I think we’re only beginning to understand how powerful the body’s own regenerative capabilities can be. Treatments like PRF are incredibly exciting because they harness your body’s natural healing processes.

As technology and research continue to evolve, I think we’ll discover even more ways to support healthy aging and natural rejuvenation.

What is your favorite part about being part of the CSLC and RegenCen team?
The team culture is unlike anywhere I’ve worked before.

Everyone genuinely supports one another and contributes to patient care. It never feels like “your patient” or “my patient.”

The level of collaboration, expertise, and teamwork here is something special.

What does confidence mean to you?
Confidence means feeling comfortable in your own skin and being happy with who you are.

Working in both aesthetics and regenerative medicine has shown me that confidence isn’t only about how you look. It’s also about how you feel.

When people feel healthy, energized, and comfortable with themselves, it shows. To me, confidence is about looking and feeling your best.

What’s your favorite coffee order?
An iced matcha latte with oat milk and lavender.

What’s your go-to treatment?
Microneedling and neuromodulators. Microneedling is one of my favorite treatments for improving texture, radiance, and fine lines, while neuromodulators are a simple way to support natural-looking aging.

What skincare product are you loving right now?
Anything from Alastin, especially their tinted sunscreen.

What is your dream destination for rest and recharge?
Hawaii. I’ve never been, but sunshine, relaxation, and unplugging for a while sounds pretty perfect.
