Healthy, radiant skin doesn’t happen overnight. It happens through consistency, education, and a personalized plan. For Brianna Meng, MA, every treatment is an opportunity to help patients feel more confident while preserving what makes them uniquely themselves. We sat down with Brianna, Medical Aesthetician at Cosmetic Skin & Laser Center in Winter Park, to talk about her 11 years in aesthetics, why she loves treating skin concerns like melasma, and the philosophy that guides every recommendation she makes.

Tell us a little about yourself. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I live in Longwood, Florida, and outside of work I love spending time with my family. My daughter and I enjoy going to Disney and SeaWorld together, and I also love practicing hot yoga.

One of my favorite hobbies is playing mahjong. I’m definitely one of the youngest people in my group, but it’s such a fun game.

What inspired you to pursue a career in aesthetics?
Right after college, I worked as a receptionist in a dermatology office. Watching the providers transform patients’ skin completely fascinated me, and that’s what inspired me to become an aesthetician.

I’ve now been in aesthetics for 11 years, and I still love helping people achieve healthier, more confident skin.

Have you personally tried any of the treatments you offer? Which are your favorites?
I’ve tried many of the treatments we offer, but SkinPen microneedling and the Hydrafacial are definitely my favorites.

Hydrafacial gives such beautiful immediate results, and while microneedling requires a little patience, the long-term improvements make it absolutely worth it.

What is your philosophy when it comes to aesthetic treatments?
I believe aesthetic treatments should enhance your natural features, not change who you are. Setting realistic expectations and being transparent with patients is incredibly important to me because trust is such a big part of the journey.

Sometimes less really is more. The best results are the ones where people look refreshed, confident, and healthy while still looking completely like themselves.

What treatments do you especially love performing?
My favorite treatments are SkinPen microneedling and Hydrafacial with dermaplaning. Both deliver beautiful results, but in different ways.

Hydrafacial provides that instant glow patients love, while microneedling creates long-term improvements in skin quality that continue developing over time.

What are some of the most common concerns patients come to you with?
Acne, pigmentation, melasma, sun damage, and hormonal skin concerns are probably the biggest ones.

Living in Florida, we also see a tremendous amount of sun damage, and many patients are looking for ways to brighten their skin and improve overall tone and texture.

Is there a patient experience that has stayed with you?
One that really stands out involved a patient who had been struggling with melasma. That one is especially personal to me because I developed melasma myself after having my daughter, so I understand how frustrating it can be.

We treated her with microneedling, VI Peels, Hydrafacials, and a personalized corrective skincare regimen. She stayed incredibly consistent and patient throughout the process, and today she’s seen about an 80% improvement. Looking back at her before-and-after photos together was such a rewarding moment for both of us.

Is there a treatment that has particularly surprised you with its results?
Ultherapy and the FX laser have both really impressed me. Seeing the before-and-after transformations from those treatments has been incredible. The improvements they can create while still looking natural are amazing.

What advice do you give every new patient during a consultation?
I encourage patients to focus on their biggest concern first instead of trying to tackle everything at once. It’s completely normal to have several things you’d like to improve, but starting with one priority helps create a more manageable, personalized plan and prevents people from feeling overwhelmed.

From there, we can continue building toward their long-term goals together.

What makes the CSLC approach different?
I love that we take such a comprehensive approach to patient care. We don’t rely on one treatment for everyone. Instead, we combine different technologies and therapies that work together to create the best possible outcomes.

I also think offering both aesthetic and regenerative medicine is something that truly sets CSLC apart. Being able to care for patients from both perspectives allows us to create more complete, personalized treatment plans.

How have you seen aesthetics evolve over the past several years?
Social media and AI have completely changed the industry. Patients have more access to information than ever before, which often means they arrive with lots of questions and ideas.

While that’s exciting, it also makes patient education even more important. One of our responsibilities is helping patients separate trends from treatments that truly align with their goals and will provide realistic, long-lasting results.

Where do you see aesthetics heading over the next 5-10 years?
I think we’ll continue seeing incredible innovation and more global influence on aesthetic medicine. Korean skincare and aesthetic treatments have become increasingly popular, and I think we’ll continue learning from advancements happening around the world while adapting them thoughtfully within our own industry.

What does confidence mean to you?
Confidence means being open to learning from others, no matter how much experience you have. I think true confidence comes from staying curious, continuing to grow, and recognizing that there’s always something new to learn.

What skincare product can you not live without?
Hydrinity Hyacyn Active Purifying Mist is my go-to skincare product. I love how versatile it is and that just about everyone can benefit from it. It’s one of those products I recommend again and again because it supports healthy skin and fits so easily into almost any skincare routine.

What’s your favorite coffee order?
A hot cinnamon mocha with extra cinnamon powder on top. I don’t care how warm it is outside, I’ll always choose a hot coffee.
