Brenna Sexton, MA, helps patients feel welcome, informed, and confident from the moment they walk through the door at CSLC Chelsea. As a Lead Client Coordinator, Brow & Lash Specialist, Phlebotomist, and Medical Assistant, she combines creativity, clinical knowledge, and genuine compassion to support patients throughout their aesthetic and regenerative journey. We sat down with Brenna to talk about how she found her passion for aesthetics, what she’s learned from working alongside our providers, and why helping patients feel like themselves again is the most rewarding part of her role.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you live and what do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I live in Ypsilanti, where I was born and raised. Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, especially during the summer at our family lake house in Port Huron.

I also own a small creative business where I design custom apparel and glassware, and I enjoy painting, puzzles, and anything that lets me unplug and be creative.

How did you find your way into aesthetics?
It honestly happened at the perfect time. I had spent 10 years working in an optometry office, with my last role focused on insurance billing.

While I always enjoyed the medical field, dealing with insurance made me question whether it was where I wanted to stay.

Joining Chelsea Laser, which later became CSLC, completely changed that.

I fell in love with aesthetics, patient care, and helping people feel more confident. Now I truly see this as my long-term career.

What services do you provide at CSLC?
I perform brow laminations, lash lifts, blood draws, intramuscular injections, and support patients as both a Medical Assistant and Lead Client Coordinator.

Have you personally tried the treatments you offer? What are your favorites?
I’ve done my own brow laminations and lash lifts, and once I started, I couldn’t imagine going without them.

My favorite aesthetic treatment overall is Hydrafacial because I always leave feeling refreshed, clean, and glowing.

Lip filler has also been one of my favorite personal treatments because it created such natural balance for my face.

What are come of the most common concerns patients come to CSLC with?
Most patients want to look younger and more refreshed, but they’re worried about looking overdone.

I spend a lot of time reassuring them that natural results are exactly what we specialize in.

We always encourage patients to start slowly, build over time, and create a plan that feels comfortable for them.

Many patients worry about looking unnatural. What do you tell them?
I always explain that one syringe of filler is much smaller than most people imagine, and we never push patients to do more than they’re comfortable with.

The overdone results people often see online usually happen because someone keeps saying “yes” instead of putting the patient’s best interests first. That’s not how we practice.

Our goal is to help people look like themselves, just refreshed.

What do you think patients misunderstand most about aesthetics? 
I think filler is probably the biggest misconception.

People often associate it with oversized lips or dramatic celebrity transformations.

They also assume laser treatments come with weeks of downtime because of stories they’ve heard online.

In reality, every treatment is customized, and most patients are surprised by how natural and manageable the process really is.

Is there a treatment that has surprised you most with its results?
PRF has amazed me. Before working at CSLC, I didn’t know much about it, but seeing how many different ways it can be used, and the incredible before-and-after results patients achieve, has been so exciting.

It’s amazing what the body can do using its own natural healing properties.

How is CSLC different from other med spas?
Our focus on regenerative medicine and natural-looking results really sets us apart.

We aren’t chasing trends.

We’re helping patients feel healthier, more confident, and more like themselves.

Hearing how hormone therapy, regenerative treatments, and aesthetic care have changed someone’s life is one of the most rewarding parts of working here.

What do you think the future of aesthetics looks like?
I think we’ll continue moving toward regenerative treatments that work with the body’s natural healing process.

There are already so many exciting advancements, and I think we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible.

What does confidence mean to you?
Confidence is one of the most beautiful qualities someone can have.

We spend so much time comparing ourselves to others, but when someone truly feels confident, it changes the way they carry themselves. I love that our conversations with patients often go beyond aesthetics because helping someone rebuild confidence is about much more than how they look.

What’s one skincare product you can’t live without?
Anything from the Plated skincare line.

What’s your favorite aesthetic treatment?

Mexico.

My family and I visit every year, and it’s where I completely unplug, recharge, and enjoy time together.
